Hello and welcome to this Scott Pilgrim vs The World Controller Support Guide guide.
Many people believe that there isn't controller support. Here is a quick guide to fixing the issue.
How to
This is my very first guide. Many claim that controller support doesn't exist, but these steps allowed me to play with my PS5 and my buddy's Xbox controller.
When you have loaded your games and are at the main menu, hit SHIFT AND TAB to access the steam menu. You should see the following picture.
Next, click on top right. The second option should be about the controller. This should take you to a screen looking like the one below.
Although I have mine set up, many will require it to indicate keyboard input and mouse. Click on the image to see a larger version.
It has several options. Both my friend and I selected the gamepad. Again, I have a PS5, and my friend has an Xbox controller. This option seems best for us.
Once you click this, you will return to the screen that looks similar to the second picture.
Click VIEW LAYOUT if desired to view a screen looking like this.
You can see my PS5 controller layout. Click the view layout to modify it. Change the layout to what you like. Once you are done, hit the SHIFT & TAB Key to return to your game.
You can now play with your controller. I hope this helps.
